Saving Face

In India where public defecation is observed in the underprivileged, you notice one common behavior.

They sit with their asses towards the public, and with their faces facing the other way.

It could only be surmised that it is because we humans carry our dignity on our faces and it is far more preferable to hide your face and keep a modicum of dignity and sanity than avoid exposing your privates.
